Under the THRIVE Project, AFROCAB has developed a growing online Knowledge Hub featuring practical resources to support community-led responses to Advanced HIV Disease (AHD). The hub provides free access to tools and materials designed to strengthen awareness, advocacy, and service delivery for AHD.

Across many high-burden countries, HIV programs are entering a period of significant transition. As donor funding shifts and health systems face growing pressure to deliver more with fewer resources, countries are increasingly integrating HIV services into broader health care systems. This shift offers important opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen sustainability, and ensure that HIV services remain accessible in the long term.

Drawing on the Unitaid-funded THRIVE project, implemented by CHAI in partnership with AFROCAB and Penta, this session will examine how integration is playing out in practice.

Across Benue State in Nigeria, vulnerable children are being reached through community-led interventions that are saving lives. From infants to adolescents, these stories remind us of the critical and urgent importance of linking children with HIV to the care they deserve.

On 4-5 September 2025, THRIVE project partners convened in Maputo, Mozambique to deliver a targeted two-day training workshop focused on Hospital Care for the Severely Ill Child with Advanced HIV Disease (AHD).
