AFROCAB, along with the THRIVE consortium, is pleased to announce this call for proposals for small grants. This initiative seeks to empower national networks of People Living with HIV (PLHIV), their affiliated networks, and community-based organizations (CBOs) to advance advocacy, influence policy, and implement community-led interventions aimed at strengthening responses to Advanced HIV Disease (AHD) at both the national and community levels.

AFROCAB invites applicants in Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, and Zimbabwe to apply for THRIVE Small Grants of up to $20,000 (Year 1) and $15,000 (Year 2). Successful applicants will lead innovative AHD interventions, advocate for equity, and reach underserviced populations and communities. Read the full call here, including eligibility requirements.

To apply, please download the project proposal template and budget template. Send the completed forms to info@afrocab.org and contact@afrocab.org by April 30.

AFROCAB unites HIV advocates across 22 African countries to accelerate access to HIV diagnostics, treatments, and prevention. The Unitaid-funded THRIVE Project, launched in 2024 with consortium partners CHAI and Penta, aims to dramatically reduce mortality among adults and children living with HIV by enabling access to critical prevention, screening, and treatment commodities, and centering local leadership and community-owned solutions to find and serve people living with AHD where they are.
